Our TV Friend, Wilson, Interviews Our Patent Inventor – Dr. Marco Scipioni

Watch Coolvio’s very own Dr. Marco Scipioni, being interviewed by the talented and hilarious Jon Wilson, our TV friend here in Charlotte.   Dr. Scipioni is one of the inventors behind our fabulous patented fabric technology.

Dr. Marco Scipioni has a BS in Physics, Masters in Applied Physics and has a PH.D. in Optical Science and Engineering.  He is also a professor of Physics at Queens University, right here in our hometown of Charlotte, NC.

Marco is originally from the Veneto region of Italy and served in the paratrooper Division Folgore of the Italian army and then made his way to the U.S. to attend university. Marco found himself in the heart of the textile and technology industries while attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he completed a B.S. and M.S. in physics, and doctorate in optical science and engineering otherwise known as the “study of light.” Having trained and competed as a triathlete, Marco’s passion for performance activities and optical physics were instrumental in the innovation of a fabric technology to support optimal performance and comfort for humans.

Our bArctic Cooling Dog Shirt is unlike any other dog shirt on the market today. The bArctic offers a unique, newly-patented technology that transforms sunlight, including damaging UV light, into healthy cool red and near-infrared light. This transformation keeps the dog cooler and protected from harmful UV rays. The “bArctic” is the only dog shirt in the pet apparel market to use the sun to power its cooling agent. This convenient and sustainable cooling method means dog owners do not have to worry about finding or carrying water, and the dog is not weighed down by wet clothing.
